A window in the wall made of warm ceramic? As easy as pie!

Ceramic production is one of the most ancient on earth. The availability of an easily accessible material - clay, led to the early and almost universal development of the ceramic craft. In primitive times, the manufacture of ceramics was determined exclusively by practical necessity. However, in the process of social development, the quality of the crocks improved, the forms of pottery became more diverse, and the design of the outer surface was richer. Ceramics has become an object of artistic creation. Currently, a huge variety of household items are made from ceramics from ceramic butter dish with lid to ceramic blocks for construction.

Crises force us to optimize processes and look for inexpensive working technologies. The 1973 energy crisis forced a reduction in energy costs. Experts have calculated what the wall should be in order to keep the heat inside the building as long as possible. Therefore, they came up with a block of baked clay with holes inside. A patent for warm ceramics appeared that way. The first ceramic block houses appeared in the early 80s in Spain and Italy.

During installation, a layer of mortar covers the upper and lower holes. A kind of air cushions are formed. Due to the voids, the ceramic block is 2.5-3 times warmer than solid brick. A wall 44-51 cm thick does not require additional insulation with expanded polystyrene or mineral wool.

A warm solution has the same quality of thermal conductivity. It uses lightweight sand from a porous aggregate. Due to its low density, it gives off heat worse from a heated room to a cold street.

A brick is a piece made of clay for laying masonry using mortar. Manufacturers produce bricks of several types, including hollow bricks, and large-format blocks, which replace 10-14 ordinary bricks.

Large format porous ceramic blocks are available in sizes from 2F to 14F, produced from low-melting clay with the addition of straw, sawdust, peat. Each block goes through the stages of forming, processing, drying and firing. After the combustion of porous materials, voids remain inside. They give off heat longer; drown out the sound. Ceramic is called “warm” due to the fact that the small pores inside are filled with air. It acts as the best heat insulator.

It does not matter which clay product you take, whether it be polish pottery from Boleslawiec or ceramic blocks, you will be satisfied with your purchase.

Windows and doors are easy to insert during construction. However, in order to build a good house from porous ceramics, you should adhere to a number of requirements regarding the selection of the appropriate type of block according to the purpose, and also carry out the laying in strict accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

The outer walls of the building, partitions, and the inner walls of rooms are installed from ceramic blocks. High-tech production of ceramic blocks reduces the risk of counterfeiting and defects to zero.
